a healthier lifestyle. With over 900 acres of land on 29 park properties with 20 miles of trails and 76 miles of pedestrian/bicycle pathways, we have numerous opportunities for you and your family to enjoy getting to your destination of choice along the Trails of Meridian. Check out our parks!

Towar Park was acquired by Meridian Township in 1969. It is a linear park located in East Lansing and runs East-West from the Edgewood Village Apartment complex to Rutherford Street; a total of three blocks. This four-acre park includes picnic areas, a basketball court, paved pathways and play equipment. Towar Park is also home to the Snell-Towar Recreation Center.
