Come celebrate with us on June 29, 2019 for our annual Celebrate Meridian event... FUN for the whole family!
We kick off the celebration with our Playmakers Meridian Mile walk/run event on Thursday, June 27 and end the celebration with Fireworks on Saturday, June 29. In between there are all sorts of family-friendly activities to enjoy and tons of food to choose from at our food truck rally!
There will be a Children’s Activity Area with Bouncers and Slides, Arts and Crafts Fair, Carnival rides and Games, Car Show Cruise, Beer and Wine Tent, Main Stage Performers, Food Truck Rally and Fireworks Finale! So grab your friends and family members and bike, walk or drive your way to this Summer Fun Annual Celebration! The event will be held come rain or shine.
Celebrate Meridian Festival Day of Activities Schedule:
Food Truck Rally: 11 am - 10 pm at Central Park Drive
Car Show Cruise Noon – 5 pm at Central Park Drive, off of Marsh Rd.
Kids Activities area ($5 wristband) 11 am - 10 pm: Bouncers, face painting, dunk tank (3 pm - 6 pm) and water games
Family games: from 1 pm - 3 pm with Coach Mike at Central Park

The Meridian Historical Village Buildings will be open from 11 am - 4 pm with docents. The 7th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Company B members will be doing historical demonstrations in their camp area from 11 am - 4 pm and will also be doing a civil war funeral re-enactment in the chapel.
Live Music: 3 pm- 10 pm. DJ music from 11 am - 3 pm behind the Central Park Pavilion including music from Eventide playing 70's, 80's, 90's and today from 3 pm - 6 pm and Soulstice MI Premier Dance Band from 7 pm - 10 pm
Beer and Wine Tent 11 am – 10 pm at Central Park Pavilion featuring Miller Lite, Labatt Blue, Leinenkugel Summer Shandy, Ellison Cressent Fresh IPA, LBC Cream Ale, White Claw Black Cherry, Copa Moscato and Copa Merlot.
Farmers' Market: 8 am - 2 pm at the Younkers north parking lot
Fireworks light up the sky around 10 pm at Central Park South. Central Park Drive from Marsh Rd. to the Meridian Mall entry located on the west side of Studio C! will be closed from 6 am the day of the event until the fireworks are cleared by the Fire Department. The best spot to view the fireworks is in the grassy area just east of Studio C! at Meridian Mall. Parking is FREE. Grab some grub at the Food Trucks along Central Park Drive, bring your blanket, lawn chairs and your friends and family, sit back and enjoy our dazzling display of Fireworks. In case of rain, the Fireworks will be postponed until Sunday, June 30 around 10 pm.
Where do I park for the Celebrate Meridian Festival?
The Celebrate Meridian Festival and Food Truck Rally will bring thousands of residents and visitors to the area for Meridian Township’s annual Celebrate Meridian Festival. Meridian Township wants residents and visitors to be aware of accessibility and street closures.
The Meridian Township Municipal Main Lot will be closed on Friday, June 28 to set up for the Celebrate Meridian event on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Central Park Drive will be closed to through traffic between Marsh Road and Okemos Road from 6:00 pm Friday, June 28 until conclusion of the Celebrate Meridian event on June 29.
The Meridian Farmers’ Market will be located at the Meridian Mall from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 29 near Studio C.
Friday, June 28:
Accessible Parking is available at the Municipal Complex at the side lot to the south of the Municipal Building, the small lot near the Historical Village and the Nokomis Learning Center lot.
General Parking is available during normal business hours from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at the small lot near the Historical Village and the grassy area to the east of the Nokomis Learning Center.
Saturday, June 29:
Accessible Parking is available at the small lot near the Historical Village and the grassy area to the east of the Nokomis Learning Center. These lots can be accessed from the Marsh Road Entrance of the Municipal Complex only.
Historical Village Docents’ designated parking, with parking passes, will be at the Nokomis Learning Center.
The Farmers’ Market, Okemos Post Office, Studio C and Meridian Mall can be accessed off Marsh Road from the Okemos entrance. These locations are also accessible from Grand River Ave. and mall entrance points along Marsh Road.
General Parking for the Celebrate Meridian event is available at the Meridian Mall Parking Lot.
