Residents Can Request Free Smoke/CO Alarm Installation

The Meridian Township Fire Department is currently accepting installation requests for new smoke/carbon monoxide alarms, free for Township residents. The program will continue until all alarms have been installed or by August 31, 2019.
Interested homeowners can complete an online request form before installation. Once a request form is completed, a Meridian Township Fire Department representative will contact the residents to schedule a free assessment and installation appointment. Smoke/carbon monoxide alarms will be provided, each including a 10 year lithium battery.
Households with children through age 13 years old and/or seniors age 65 and up will be given scheduling preference, due to the higher risk of fire injury and death.
This is for Meridian Township homeowners only.
Rental properties do not qualify.
