Meridian Township, MI – The Meridian Township Parks and Recreation Department began a $50,000 Patronicity Crowdfunding Campaign in December 2018 for the Marketplace on the Green Project.

The proposed new project will transform the Farmers’ Market into a social and economic centerpiece in Meridian Township, providing community space for the Farmers’ Market, craft fairs, Township-wide events, adult and youth sports, live music and more.
Funding for the Marketplace on the Green Project needed to reach $50,000 by February 8th to receive a matching grant through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation Public Spaces Community Places Program.

“We want to thank everyone who contributed to smashing our goal of $50,000 for the Marketplace on the Green Project,” said LuAnn Maisner, Director of Parks and Recreation. “We could not have done it without the over 156 patrons who donated and helped us reach the finish line.”
