With the Halloween season upon us, Meridian Township announces activities for all ages. Halloween open houses and events will take place on Saturday, October 19th and Saturday, October 26th.

Join the Harris Nature Center (3998 Van Atta Road) from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 19th for a family friendly Halloween Fun House, crafts, pumpkin piñata, a campfire, hayride and more. Activities are for all ages. There is a $8 per child fee due at the time of the event. No registration is needed.

On Saturday, October 26th, visit the Meridian Township Municipal Complex (5151 Marsh Road) for three free events. From 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, kids will have a chance to meet McGruff the Crime Dog, sit in a patrol car and activate the siren at the Meridian Township Police Department, as well as enjoy cider and donuts.

Children and parents can visit the Meridian Farmers’ Market and the Meridian Historical Village in Central Park. Vendors at the Farmers’ Market will be selling homemade treats from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and the Historical Village Buildings will be open for walk-through tours from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with goodies handed out at the Brick General Store.

Township trick-or-treating will be Thursday, October 31st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
