In 1985 the Community Resources Commission (CRC) Needs Fund was established in response to an increasing need for emergency services and a corresponding drop in available human service resources.

The CRC is a very active volunteer group who are responsible for the oversight of the CRC Needs Fund. The group attends monthly meetings to assist with the coordination of the Community Resources Program and fundraising. Throughout the year they volunteer with holiday baskets, emergency needs and various other philanthropic programs that may develop in response to the need.
