Home MenuThe Transportation Commission is responsible for reviewing the provision of transportation services of all types, public and private, within Meridian Township as to their efficiency, sufficiency and costs. The commission was created to make recommendations for improvements to modes of transportation services, including the priority of needed actions and on potential millage proposals, review citizen complaints and comments on the provision of transportation services within Meridian Township and provide assistance to the Township staff with response to citizen submissions.
The Transportation Commission consists of up to six residents and one member of the Township Board. Members have an interest or expertise in public transit, cycling, or pedestrian movements and public safety.
The commission meets monthly on the third Thursday at 6:00 pm at the Central Fire Station Community Room at the intersection of Okemos Road and Central Park Drive. Please check meeting calendar for specific days/times.
