The Meridian Township Parks and Recreation Department runs many exciting programs and events in our community.

Did you know that our Township provides a park or natural area within a 15-20 minute walk of every resident? That is approximately 2000 steps (on your pedometer) closer to a positive and healthier lifestyle. With 904 acres of parks, 750 acres of land preserves and nearly 80 miles of bicycle-pedestrian pathway, we have numerous opportunities for you and your family to get out and get busy enjoying what the parks have to offer.

The Family Fun Guide is your Resource for Fun where you'll find our calendar of events, adult and youth sports information, information on our parks and more!

The Charter Township of Meridian takes great pride in being a community that provides Prime parks, trails, natural areas, managed deer harvest and recreation services. The 5 year Parks and Recreation Master Plan serves to make Meridian Township eligible for state and federal grant funding. Since 1972, Meridian Township has received $2,695,200 in grant support for park acquisition and development projects.
