Come celebrate with us on June 29, 2019 for our annual Celebrate Meridian FUN event for the whole family! We kick off the celebration with our Playmakers walk/run and end it with Fireworks! In between there are all sorts of family-friendly activities for you to enjoy and tons of food to choose from at our food truck rally!
There will be a Children’s Activity Area with Bouncers and Slides and Arts and Crafts, Community Art Mural, Carnival rides and Games, Car Show Cruise, Beer and Wine Tent, Main Stage Performers, Food Truck Rally and Fireworks Finale!
Families can look forward to lacing up their boots, zipping up their winter coats and embracing all that winter has to offer with 3 events in Meridian Township!
The Celebrate Meridian Festival and Food Truck Rally will bring thousands of residents and visitors to the area for Meridian Township’s annual Celebrate Meridian Festival. Meridian Township wants residents and visitors to be aware of accessibility and street closures.
The Meridian Township Municipal Main Lot will be closed on Friday, June 29 to set up for the Celebrate Meridian event on Saturday, June 30. Central Park Drive will be closed to through traffic between Marsh Road and Okemos Road from 6:00 pm Friday, June 29 until conclusion of the Celebrate Meridian event on June 30.
The Meridian Farmers’ Market will be located at the Meridian Mall from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 30 near Studio C.
Friday, June 29:
Accessible Parking is available at the Municipal Complex at the side lot to the south of the Municipal Building, the small lot near the Historical Village and the Nokomis Learning Center lot.
General Parking is available during normal business hours from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at the small lot near the Historical Village and the grassy area to the east of the Nokomis Learning Center.
Saturday, June 30:
Accessible Parking is available at the small lot near the Historical Village and the grassy area to the east of the Nokomis Learning Center. These lots can be accessed from the Marsh Road Entrance of the Municipal Complex only.
Historical Village Docents’ designated parking, with parking passes, will be at the Nokomis Learning Center.
The Farmers’ Market, Okemos Post Office, Studio C and Meridian Mall can be accessed off Marsh Road from the Okemos entrance. These locations are also accessible from Grand River Ave. and mall entrance points along Marsh Road.
General Parking for the Celebrate Meridian event is available at the Meridian Mall Parking Lot.
