Meridian Township Seeks Election Inspectors

Meridian Township is seeking individuals interested in being Election Inspectors for the upcoming August 4, 2020 Primary Election. Being an Election Inspector provides a way to learn about the election process, serve others in your community and earn some extra money.

All Election Inspectors will receive paid training the week before the election.  Individuals can work up to 15 hours the day of the election, or an 8-hour shift. Meridian Township is looking for individuals who have basic computer skills, are detail-oriented and enjoy working with the public. The rate of pay is $11.00 per hour. COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place, including social distancing, masks, sanitizing and other safety measures. 

All Election Inspectors should be 18 years of age and a registered voter in the State of Michigan. Individuals, who are 16 to 17 years of age and are interested in being an Election Inspector, please contact the Township Clerk for more information.

Interested individuals can fill out an Election Inspector Application, scan it and email it to Township Clerk Brett Dreyfus at, please include "Election Inspector" in the subject line.

Applications can also be dropped off in the 24 Hour White Dropbox or the Portable Outdoor Service Center in front of the Municipal Building or mailed to the Meridian Township Clerk’s Office, 5151 Marsh Rd, Okemos, MI  48864.
