The Meridian Township Department Public Works is seeking proposals for the 2023 Roadway Improvements - Milling and HMA Overlay. Work will consist of a variety of road improvements including cold milling, HMA resurfacing, and restoration on approximately 2.17 miles of local roads in the Charter Township of Meridian, Ingham County, Michigan as noted in the Bid Documents and Supplemental Specifications.

PROJECT INTENT:

It is the intent of the Charter Township of Meridian to rehabilitate and resurface selected roadways. This involves cold milling the existing asphalt from the road as specified in the log of project, and overlay with new asphalt as shown on the typical sections. Additional to this work, under a separate contract, ADA sidewalk ramps and select areas of curb shall be replaced by others. The Contractor shall coordinate work with this contract as necessary and as described in this proposal.

A subsequent project will be put out to bid next month for crushing and shaping approximately 4.4 miles of additional local roads.
