Construction occurs for the multi-family 100 unit building which marks the first phase of this DTN development. The site features the four story building, site grading, pool, and pool house. The expectation is an occupancy for the first building in September of 2024.
M-78 Saginaw Highway/ 6276 Newton Road “Newton Pointe”
The Township officially approved the MUPUD for this site to construct 225 total multifamily housing dwelling units in 10 units, 4 Units and Single unit dwellings at Newton and Saginaw Highway in 2019. The public hearing for this site was set 3/19/2019. The developing company resubmitted an amendment to their site plan May 2021 with a request to reduce the overall nonresidential space.
May 24 2021 Planning Commission Meeting Packet
The Community Planning & Development Director through the internal site plan review process, approved in part, the request to reduce the overall commercial space of the project. No reduction in the amount or location of the public amenities was approved. The final Township Board approval for the Special Use Permit due to the size of the development.
