Business & Development
Community Planning & Development
The Department of Community Planning and Development helps guide property and building owners on the development and use of land in the Township.
The Department comprises four divisions: Planning and Zoning (land use and planning for the future), Building (construction and new businesses), Rental Housing (inspection of rental units), and Code Enforcement (complaint and nuisance inspections and follow-up).
Economic Development
The Economic Development Department implements the goals and vision of the Township Master Plan. By creating incentives and programs that support the ever challenging development market, the Township is committed to building a sustainable and vibrant community where businesses thrive. Our team is here to help establish your business, expand your business using local incentives, provide feedback on development projects, and engage with residents, landowners, and business owners on potential projects.
The Economic Development Director works closely with the Township's development Boards and Commissions: the Downtown Development Authority, Economic Development Corporation, the Corridor Improvement Authority, and the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority.
