Being active and engaged are key elements of physical and emotional well-being for everyone, but as you enter the retirement years, it is essential to maintain those connections. The Meridian Senior Center (with over 560 members) is a great place to connect with other older adults to remain active and healthy.

The Meridian Senior Center believes that staying active is a key to physical and emotional well-being for everyone, especially older adults. The Senior Center was created to provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for persons age 55 and over to gather and engage in programs and social activities. The Senior Center works to provide relevant programs and services to meet the ever-changing lifestyle needs of older persons throughout the community.

If you are unable to drive or do not wish to, bus transportation is available to and from the center through the Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA).

Anyone 55 or older may participate in Meridian Senior Center activities without cost, except where fees are specifically noted. We do have an optional supporting membership annual fee, which provides support for the ongoing operation of the center. Our supporting members are entitled to our bi-monthly newsletter and reduced fees on certain programs and exercise classes. Those interested in supporting membership may sign up any day during operating hours.
