Economic Development
The Economic Development Department manages the implementation of goals and the vision of the Township Master Plan. By creating incentives and programs that support the ever challenging development market, the Township is committed to building a sustainable and vibrant community where businesses thrive. Our team is here to help with establishing your business, expanding your business using local incentives, providing feedback on a development projects, and engaging with residents, land owners and business owners on potential projects.
The Economic Development Director works closely with the Township's development Boards and Commissions: the Downtown Development Authority, Economic Development Corporation, the Corridor Improvement Authority, and the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority.

Development fees can be paid for by cash, check, or card in-person at the Meridian Township Municipal Building (5151 Marsh Road, Okemos) Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
