Meridian Township Millage Renewal Information - November 3 General Election

As part of the November 3, 2026 General Election, Meridian Township is asking voters to consider the renewal of two existing millages:

• Parks Millage
• Police and Fire Protection Millage

Park Millage Quick Facts:

• The Park Millage was originally adopted in 1984 and was last approved by voters in August 2014.
• If approved, the Park Millage would be 0.6503 mills for 2026.
  • Since this is a renewal, the overall Township tax rate will not increase.
• The millage is dedicated to the maintenance and management of 30 Meridian Township parks, the pathway network, and recreational facilities.
• If approved, the millage would last for 10 years.

Police and Fire Protection Millage Quick Facts:

• The Police and Fire Protection Millage was first adopted in 2017.
• If approved, the Police and Fire Protection Millage would be 1.4563 mills for 2026.
  • Since this is a renewal, the overall Township tax rate will not increase.
• The millage is used to fund police and fire personnel, equipment purchases, and long-term pension obligations.
• If approved, the millage would last for 10 years.
