Building Board of Appeals

The Building Board of Appeals hears and decides matters relating to the Township's application of the Michigan Building Code, Michigan Residential Code and International Property Maintenance, such as variances from the requirements of the codes, appeals of a decision or determination made by the Township's Chief Building Inspector or the Director of Community Planning and Development, or an interpretation of the provisions of the codes.

The Building Board of Appeals comprises three members appointed by the Township Supervisor, each with experience and training in building construction and property maintenance.

The Board meets as needed to address inquiries, and its members serve three-year terms.
