HOMTV

HOMTV is Meridian Township's award-winning government access station that provides live coverage of Township board and commission meetings and covers community events throughout Meridian Township. The Meridian Township Communications Department operates HOMTV.

For residents of Meridian Township and East Lansing, HOMTV is available on Comcast Channel 21; a live stream with on-demand content is also available at the blue button below.

Viewers can also head over to the HOMTV YouTube for additional content and ways to view televised meetings.

Township Meetings Televised by HOMTV:

HOMTV also offers an internship program for those seeking experience in video production, multimedia journalism, and more! Additional information about the HOMTV Internship Program can be found at homtv.net.

HOMTV receives Public, Educational, and Government (PEG) and franchise fees through its franchise agreements with Comcast and AT&T. Video providers that use public rights-of-way to deliver video signals to residents must pay both a franchise fee and a PEG fee to the Township. Franchise fees are deposited into the general fund and may be used for any Township-related expenses. In contrast, PEG fees are placed in a restricted fund that can only be used for HOMTV capital expenditures, such as video production equipment.
