Environmental Commission

The Environmental Commission advises the Township on matters of environmental protection, pollution prevention, and natural area preservation. The Commission is responsible for implementing the Township’s Wetland Protection Ordinance and Greenspace Plan.

The Environmental Commission is composed of up to nine members, including two student members, all appointed by the Township Board. Members possess interest or expertise in open space and wetland protection, waste reduction, low-impact development, or ecology, and serve three-year terms.
